What happens next?
Have you been accepted for admission and wondering what happens next?
Shortly after you receive your acceptance letter, you should receive a letter and contract from the housing office. We do require our first year students to live on-campus unless you are living with your parent or guardian, over 21 years of age, married or have a dependent. There is a $150 fee due with the housing application.
After housing, at the end of your senior year, you will receive an invitation to our registration program called Start-VU. This program is a one-day event where you will take the placement test (if you haven't already), sign-up for classes with your advisor and take care of any details before classes start in the fall. There are several sessions available on this day for parents or guardians while the student is attending their sessions. Your invitation will invite you down on a specific day that corresponds to the major you have declared on your application. If you are thinking about changing your major, make sure you contact us and make the change before the registration program.
If you are not clear about the next steps or think you have missed something, please call the Admissions Office at 1-800-742-9198.
